RALGA gets a new Deputy Secretary General

In an extraordinary staff meeting held on Friday 16th November 2018 at RALGA’s office, Mr Ladislas NGENDAHIMANA, Secretary General of Rwanda Association of Local Government Authorities (RALGA), introduced to the staff Ms Francine TUMUSHIME, new Deputy Secretary General (DSG) appointed by RALGA’s Executive Committee on 14th November 2018.

In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Ladislas briefed the DSG on the structure of the association, its programs, key achievements as well as staffing challenges. The new Deputy Secretary General said that she was happy to join RALGA and promised to promote a collaborative and teamwork spirit.

Mrs Francine TUMUSHIME is not a new figure in local government as she served as Director General in charge of Community Development and Social Affairs in the Ministry of Local Government for 5 years. She also served as a senior government official, in the capacity of Minister in the Ministry of Lands and Forestry. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Specialization in Project Management) and an Engineering Degree in Agriculture.
