On June 6th, 2022, late Ruhimbana Jonathan was laid to rest in Kanombe military cemetery. A retired Officer from the Rwanda Defense Force with the rank of Lieutenant, Ruhimbana Jonathan was eulogized as a friendly, loyal and patriotic citizen.
Ruhimbana passed on 30th May 2022 at King Faisal Hospital after a short illness. The burial brought together family members, the entire RALGA staff and other friends from all walks who have lived or worked with the deceased, including his comrades in arms.
During the funerals, mourners recounted the acts of patriotism, commitment, and sociability that have shaped the life of late Ruhimbana.
Late Ruhimbana was one of RALGA long serving staff, having worked for and with the organization since the year 2006 until his death.
Particularly, RALGA will uphold Ruhimbana’s legacy of hardworking, dedication to work and motivating others.
The Secretary General of the Rwanda Association of Local Government Authorities eulogized late Ruhimbana as a friend, comrade and a colleague to many.
“RALGA is a Family to which late Ruhimbana belonged. He shall be missed and remembered as a colleague, a friend for many, a hardworking and patriotic comrade, and he left a vacuum within the institution he worked for”, he said.
Late Ruhimbana Jonathan was survived by a wife and children.
